surgery, anniversary, new school year

elyse had carpal tunnel surgery on her right wrist on wed, sept 10th. it was not too bad, as she is familiar w/ it from her aug 6th surgery on her left wrist. too bad that her right side is dominant...vicodin was good for one day, that's all. thank god we have a strong support system to help us through this.
today we celebrated our 11th year wedding anniversary. we had great fun watching the wedding video with the kids. the boys commented on the fact that mommy looked different on tv (actually, they said i looked younger on tv!), but daddy looked the same then and now. thanks, guys! jon bought me beautiful earrings that just happened to match the necklace that zaide and orit brought me back from israel for my bday. he claims that he never even saw that necklace, how weird is that?! we also took the whole family out to the 99 restaurant. you gotta love when the red sox win during their free kids meal with every adult meal promotion the day after winning game! and, for good measure, uncle mitch came along with us. it was great fun!
back to school has been great! the kids are adjusting fine, though mornings are still a bit tough. we feel like we are having a flash forward to the teenage years, when you practically have to pour water on their faces to awaken them!
soccer, hebrew school, cub scouts, guitar lessons, oh my!
check out the team photo of benjamin's traveling soccer team. they beat attleboro 3-0 on saturday. more importantly, ben is learning the fundamentals of the game and how to be a good team player. daddy is having lots of fun asst coaching too...
